About Us
Hampstead Physical Therapy began accepting patients in January of 2006. Sneads Ferry Physical Therapy, our second location, opened in January of 2009. We specialize in physical therapy for common conditions, such as back, shoulder and knee pain. Post-Surgical and Post-Stroke rehabilitation are also part of the specialty programs here at Hampstead Therapy. State-of-the-art equipment paired with personalized treatment plans for each individual patient will both relieve pain and restore function.
Preston "Rusty" Walker, MPT, owner and physical therapist, has over fifteen years experience including working in orthopedics, acute care, neurological rehab, home health and pediatrics. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1992 and went on to receive his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Our philosophy is based on utilizing effective, evidence-based interventions to achieve maximum results. We service the area with the mission to provide superior quality therapy that produces positive outcomes for patients.
Most recently, Hampstead Physical Therapy was chosen as the Hampstead Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year for 2008. Upon receiving the distinction, Rusty Walker replied by saying "It is a great honor to be recognized in the community for the physical therapy services we are providing to the greater Hampstead area. Since opening last year we have really worked hard to build up the both practices and to give the best possible physical therapy to our patients."
