"From the time I walked in l felt at ease. They greet you by name and a smile. Then you go with your physical therapist. You are treated with kindness, knowledge of injury and treatment. This is a great place to have Physical Therapy. I thank everyone!"

"I had a wonderful experience at Snead's Ferry Therapy. The girls really know their business. They pushed me when I needed to be pushed and massaged away the pain when it was called for. If I am ever in need of therapy again this is the place I will head to. But I would be happiest if I never have the need for therapy again."

"Tiffany and Paula were terrific! I had surgery on my foot in the middle of January and started therapy the first week of Feb. Kammi always greeted me with the warmest smiles and conversation when I walked in. Paula began my treatment and was very thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable in her treatment process. Tiffany spent the most time with me whipping me back into shape. In no time at all, I was walking without a limp, without crutches, and executing all exercises she had planned for me without any problems or pain. Thank you to everyone at Hampstead Topsail Physical Therapy for all you did for me to get me back on my feet. You all are the best. I would recommend your services to anyone looking for some physical therapy."

"Hampstead Topsail PT is a wonderful place. They led me through pre-hab and rehab after A total knee replacement. Rusty, Paula, and Tiffany are outstanding professionals, who put you through reasonable paces in order to make great progress. Most of my sessions were with owner Rusty Walker who is an affable, knowledgeable professional. He is familiar to/with most if not all of the orthopedic surgeons in the immediate area. I was also fortunate to have a few sessions with both Paula and Tiffany who do great jobs. Each are also fantastic cheerleaders for a tough process. The 45 minute sessions flew by for me.. I enjoyed going to each session twice a week!"

"I was referred for a very specific therapeutic protocol with a goal to "pre-hab" for surgery to my lower back. The therapy was carefully and consistently performed and included challenging movements as well as resistance training to strengthen core muscles. I am pleased to say that, because of the hard work and technical acumen of my therapist, not only will I not have to get pain management interventions but it is likely that I will be able to put off or avoid surgery altogether. Not only that, the professionalism and excellent communication of the staff made my entire process a breeze. Thank you!"

"I have used Hampstead Topsail Physical Therapy before, so after my major back surgery I knew they were the one I wanted to assist me with my recovery. It is a very pleasant environment, the therapists are very knowledgeable and defined the correct balance of activities and exercises that made for a very successful recovery. "I was very satisfied with the physical therapy offered by Rusty. He taught me various stretches to meet my immediate needs. As my most pressing needs were met he was able to adapt and teach me stretches/muscle strengthening procedures to meed my changing conditions. Now, six weeks after concluding my therapy I continue to do the stretches and my overall body flexibility continues to improve. Thanks!"

"I was sent to PT by my Dr as I am hoping to prolong my knee replacement. I did not expect the results to be so good! I am stronger and able to walk 1 - 2 miles again without my sciatic pain taking over. I can stand in line without wincing, both knees are stronger and my hips are too! I am truly amazed. This team, and I worked with them all (Rusty, Tiffany and Paula), are the best - kind, friendly, thorough, informative, helpful, non-judgemental and totally welcoming. I know I will have to come back when I eventually do have my knee replacement, but that will be later rather than sooner! Thank you!"

"I worked with Paula on my PT for a hip replacement and really enjoyed(?) working with her. At least as much as PT can be thought to be enjoyable. She is very engaging, thorough, and friendly. She also kept me sufficiently challenged and put me in position to fully recover. The rest of the staff there is also very friendly and they all seemed to have a great rapport with their patients. Paula and Hampstead Topsail Physical Therapy was recommended to me by a friend of mine and I wholeheartedly concur with the recommendation."

"I recently had surgery to repair a hip labral tear and remove a bone spur. I worked with Tiffany and she was extremely helpful with the recovery process. She demonstrated the exercises and ensured I was doing them correctly. I worked up from not being able to walk to being up and about. Everyone was super nice and seemed to be having a good time which also made the experience enjoyable. I highly recommend to anyone needing PT!!"

"I went in as a new client not knowing what to expect. I found a welcoming and relaxed group of very knowledgeable professionals. Every exercise was explained completely before beginning and their constant attention was always to make sure I was never in pain. Each session I felt improvement and looked forward to each visit. My work has me in a chair before three monitors and two computers continuously. I feel so much better and able to continue effective remote work. I also feel part of the SFPT family."

"Loved the staff. Kamie set my appointments up and we discovered we have the same birthday!!! Paula and I hit it off instantly and she helped me with stretches, core, and a low back routine that included improving strength and balance. It truly helped eliminate the pain. She always left time for massage, pressure point and alignment work; she'd let me know if there was tension or a knot in any area. We established a great program for me to continue strengthening my back and core with pictures and resistance bands included. We all hit it off, it's a wonderful, engaging group of professionals. "Hampstead Topsail Physical Therapy is a well established facility with highly trained therapists who have all been working there for a long time. That says a lot. I first went to them to recover from a shoulder rotator cuff surgery about 15 years ago and that went really well. Now I suffer from an aging spine and lots of back issues. I was having strength trouble going up steps so I chose to try PT for 6 weeks. Within two weeks I saw great results. I completed my sessions and left with a great program to continue to strengthen my core, back and legs. During my visits I rotated with all the therapists - Rusty, Mike, Tiffany, Paula and Haley. Enjoyed their different approaches and the variety of exercises. All were terrific - no favorites. Kamie at the front desk was also terrific helping me rearrange appointments. Loved the friendly, laid-back atmosphere here and the quality care I received. I highly recommend trying this local business. "

"This review is probably about three months overdue now, but I just wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Sneads Ferry Physical Therapy. I went to them in the midst of horrific hip pain, where I could hardly stand straight and had a pretty bad limp on my right side. Tony was so supportive during that phase, providing me with exercises that helped me to be a little more active in my day-to-day, all while encouraging me to reach out to Wilmington Orthopedics for additional assistance. It turns out I had a tear in my right hip's labrum, and I needed surgery. After the operation, I went back to Sneads Ferry Physical Therapy for rehab and am so grateful for the amazing quality of care and support Tony, Hali, and Kelly provided me with for approximately six months. Each session was personally tailored to how I was feeling that day. Their constant encouragement and cheer meant everything to me, especially on the days I was overwhelmed. Together, we'd progress my hip movement and flexibility a little more and more, and I eventually managed to go from being heavily restricted on crutches to running and deadlifting again. I am now back to living my highly active lifestyle, and I owe it all to the folks at Sneads Ferry. I am so grateful to them for helping me get my life back! I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who needs physical therapy services!"

"My boss referred me to "Topsail Physical Therapy" when I hurt my back and trying to find the most beneficial way to mend without surgery. I am so happy i came. Not only did i get the care i needed to mend but learned a ton about my posture and my ability to move properly. I also received exercises that I've included in my training warm ups which have helped me build up strength and now i can train pain free. They are very experienced at PT and they know how to challenge You to get maximum recovery in a short period of time. I will be using them again if I have any other necessary surgery in the future. "I had my knee replacement done on February 10, 2023. I started PT within a few days at Sneads Ferry Physical Therapy. Both Kelly and Hali worked me to my fullest each time I went in for PT. Every visit I knew that my knee was improving and by April 24 I was released from PT not even a full 3 months later! I am so pleased with my accomplishments and I owe it all to Kelly and Hali who were demanding and patient at the same time. Thanks to the receptionists as well who worked with me on rescheduling when I had conflicts with ailing parents ."

"The entire team at Sneads Ferry PT is awesome!!! Geri is always there to greet you w/ a smile when you walk in. I had a complicated knee injury, and Kelly took the time to evaluate my knee, review my MRI, research info, and provide detailed explanations, along with pictures and demonstrations so I could easily understand what was going on and address my concerns so much better than the doctors. When I experienced an issue causing my other leg to go numb, both Kelly and Tony were amazing at determining the cause and treatment I needed. Tony did a great job of providing helpful suggestions and demonstrations if I felt I wanted to make the exercises more challenging when I did them at home. I also enjoyed working w/ the PT Asst, Haley, who is also very knowledgeable and ensured I I maintained proper form for each exercise. Her sense of humor and stories about her cat made my treatment so much more enjoyable. All made the atmosphere so much friendlier and pleasurable by getting patients to engage in activities and conversations so it felt like you were in a room with a bunch of your friends. I would highly recommend them!"

Then they stuck to the program and we worked together to come up with the best outcomes--each day and over the whole program. 2. "I went to Topsail Physical Therapy after surgery for a dislocated elbow. Physical therapy was going good when an infection was discovered in the elbow requiring a second surgery. The surgeon warned me that due to the severity of the initial damage that use of the elbow would be limited. "My experience was with Gerry and Nori at the desk. Both of them were fantastic. They would call me if there were a cancellation and were very helpful. On the Therapy side Tony was my Therapist. I dislocated my left elbow, and the pain and weakness in my arm made many daily activities (to include caring for my infant) difficult to perform. The team at SFPT worked with me patiently and diligently, making sure I was meeting milestones every week. They provided easy yet challenging exercises to do at home as well, which helped tremendously. At the end of the treatment, the strength in my arm improved and the pain level decreased significantly. I came right back here after the TKR on my left knee and was delighted to see that all 4 of the same therapist were still there on staff. "I was not a believer in physical therapy as my past experience with pt did not yield any results. My doctor asked me to try therapy again so I tried the place 10 minutes down the road. This is where I met Mike. What a difference he made in my life. Mike's knowledge of the human body was beyond that of any other therapist I had encountered in the past. I was grateful that he became my therapist for the duration of my treatment. That being said on occasion I was treated by another therapist when Mike was out of the office. Paula was also amazing as I am sure the others are. This will be my go to place the next time I need physical therapy."

"During my initial appointment we discussed issues with shoulders, left hip, & left knee. We then discussed focusing on my left hip because of scheduled surgery in three months & set up a course of exercises to prepare for that surgery. I've just completed my left hip surgery and know without a doubt that without that PT regimen I would not be able to enjoy the mobility I have three days post-surgery that I would have otherwise. With that in mind, it is my intention to try to have the Sneads Ferry Physical Therapy clinic & technicians be my post-surgery rehab facility & facilitators. "I can’t say enough good things about this place! I had major hip and back surgery over the past 13 months which had me on bed rest, in a brace, using a walker, and then using a cane. My hips, legs , and back were so weak I couldn’t get up and down without assistance. "I am trying hard to avoid shoulder surgery so I chose to go to physical therapy. They tried to help me self-heal, combining exercises with some manipulation and massage. I wasn't given unrealistic exercises nor was I expected to spend an inordinate amount of time per day doing them. I was provided explanation sheets for the exercises insuring that I would perform the exercises correctly at home. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable and listened to my feedback. They gave me credit for reading my own body. The time flew by each session. I started out with Mike and then moved to Tiffany. I was very happy with both. I would not hesitate to use them again."

"Kelly is fantastic! I learned so much about how I should be lifting and the way I should be doing exercises and how to ensure I'm targeting muscles correctly, and I've been able to come out of this on top. I was in relatively constant pain with grinding always, and while I still have some.occasional grounding, my pain level is down and I'm able to keep pushing. I can run more effectively, my lifting workouts are much better targeted, and I can do other workouts with little to moderate fatigue instead of full exhaustion. I hope i don't need help again, but if I do I'd want to go back to Kelly!"

From the first phone call to my final visit, the team at SFPT was consistently professional, personable, and skilled at delivering the PT I needed to heal. I started PT with very limited range of motion in my right arm (rotator cuff tear) and was quite discouraged when I walked in the door. After a thorough assessment, we got to work and I began to see encouraging results after the first visit! I followed their guidance on how to support my healing with at-home stretches and strengthening. I experienced consistent improvement as my PT visits continued and have now regained 99% of my range of motion! "I had a total knee replacement 7 weeks ago. When I first came to this PT group I was using a cane and could not do one revolution all the way around on their exercise bike. My knee was hot and swollen. I finished my last session today and can cycle all the way around in both directions with resistance for 10 minutes (or much more if they let me.). I came in with flexion of 90 degrees and left today with 119 degrees. The two PT's Erika and Kelly and PT Asst Tiffany are all wonderful-knowledgable, experienced, good communicators, empathetic, with the right blend of challenging and encouraging. They explain the home exercises well, print them out, and watch how you do them. They all work together so well as a team and there is a friendly community spirit in the common exercise room. I highly recommend them (and appointments are tight, so don't wait to make appointments if you know you need them.)."

"I made it almost 30 years never injuring myself and at the start of quarantine I fell and got a double sided grade 2 sprain, partially tearing 4 ligaments. It has been a long process to try and get back to normal but Haley and Tina helped me so much! Injuring yourself for the first time ever, during Covid-19, not ideal! But the office as a whole made me feel totally comfortable going in once-twice a week. I actually looked forward to going in! The front desk staff was also awesome and I felt like I knew everyone on a personal level by the end of my time there and I love that! It’s so refreshing to walk into a business and feel so welcomed by all the staff, it’s very rare these days! The business was clean and very cautious, checking temperatures before entering the building, requiring masks, and hand washes before and after your appointment. They also only had 2 clients in at one time with staggered appointments and plenty of distance! Thank you Hampstead Physical Therapy, I’m honestly going to miss y’all.....which is kinda weird haha!"

"I went th Hampstead Physical Therapy for 5 mo due to Rotary cuff Surgery. They were great at working around my schedule and sending me reminders for my appt. I highly reccommend Hayley. She helped me work towards my goals and made sure I could do everything I needed to do before I was discharged. She even gave me some topics to discuss with my dr to help my recovery continue. I would get discouraged at times and she would encourage me and let me know I was right on track. I loved working with her. She is very knowledgeable in her field and I was very impressed. If you need therapy this is the place to go."

I am so happy I listened to her advice because after a few weeks here, I back to feeling like my old self again! Haley who was my therapist is truly amazing in what she does! "My review would go on forever if I noted all of the great things experienced at this location. The staff here are experts in their field, yet make the “why we do this” understandable and fun. This was important for me, and helped me as I took what I learned home to continue my recovery exercises. The confidence she has in her ability to teach the techniques and in your ability to achieve the next levels of recovery results are contagious! My surgeon said to do no more and no less than what she said and I’m happy to say today, thanks to her, I am back to my pre-injury condition (plus some!!). "I recently completed a month of physical therapy at the Hampstead location for my shoulder. I worked with Tina. I found an appointment time slot that worked well for my two days a week therapy. Tina took shoulder/arm reach measurements on my first day and last. The numbers showed the improvements I made. Tina put me on a schedule of about 10 to 12 various exercises over time that I did on my visits and daily at home. More importantly, she called me in right at my scheduled appointment each visit, so no long waits. She was very prompt, easy and enjoyable to work with and all the staff were very friendly. Hopefully I will not need more therapy, but if I do, I will certainly do it at Hampstead Physical Therapy."

"After going through knee replacement surgery in Aug of 2018, I was told to get set up with a physical therapist. I specifically chose HPT because of the location being so close to home. Going through the PT and working with this staff, If I ever had to go through PT again, I would without hesitation come back to them. In fact, if you're within 30 mins of HPT, I would recommend the drive. All three of the physical therapists are outstanding from their knowledge of what needs to be done but also giving you encouragement every step of the way. I had set goals I wanted to accomplish and they worked hard with me to accomplish those goals. Thank you, Haley, Heather, and Tina! You are AWESOME!!!"

Geri (reception), Tiffany, Heather and Rusty worked with my husband to get him moving more without his back seizing up. They always provided a printout and explanation of the exercises so that he could follow up at home. "In early August I likely injured my right leg/hip/knee. went to emerg ortho. They wanted me to tell them what was hurt. Nasty pain and little range of motion. Could not mount my horse, We had planned a "Ride-a-bout" riding our horses in forests from NC to the pacific. Not possible if I can't get on my horse. I conveyed my goal of at least being able to get on and start riding. They did made schedule adjustments to get me started. I got SOME range back. They gave me exercises to do and did a lot for me at each visit. on August 23 we left an with help I could mount my horse. Continuing, We rode in 13 states so far. I have ridden to the pacific, 18 miles up to Mt Rushmore in SD, and just returned from 15 miles in Redwood NF in California. I still need some help mounting, but feel better all the time. No other office; DR or PT would do anything to adjust their schedule to help. If you want a group that cares enough to help you achieve your PT goals, this is the place"

I was released upon showing progress back to almost normal for my age and past injuries. Topsail Physical Therapy had him back up and running in time for his tryouts. I will be returning at any sign of injury. What could have been a very long time sitting out of soccer, was remedied in 2 weeks. The office was very accommodating with appointment times, and all of his appointments started right on time. Awesome experience all around."

"Hampstead Physical Therapy is the best I have been to. After a fall that required a (R) Total Shoulder replacement, I returned for weeks of therapy. The staff is so professional and knowledgeable, friendly and kind, it was a pleasure to return there two - three times per week even though the exercises were, at times, pretty painful. Don’t worry about wait times, there isn’t any. One of the staff will take you back apply heat/ice or get you going on one of there bikes etc. I am very happy with the results of my hard work and that of my trainers, Thank You Haley, Rusty and Tina for all of your help it was and still is very much appreciated. One other item I would like to mention is the fact that it is never crowded in the workout room, plenty of elbow room for all. The coastal theme is very refreshing and relaxing. The place is clean, bright and has plenty of reading material if you ever have to wait for a minute. Also, there is plenty of parking around back! Therefore, if Physical Therapy is going to be in your near future, call and visit them you will be glad that you did. Sharon Hughes"

In July of last year while attending a workshop in NYC, I incurred an injury which has kept me from dancing for the last six months. With surgery not an option, I selected Topsail Physical Therapy because of its location. What a lucky choice! From the minute you make the first contact with Debbie at the front desk, until you tiredly walk out after therapy you are cared for. Debbie is not only kind, friendly, and compassionate, but she is so knowledgeable about insurance coverage so there are no unexpected surprises. My therapist is Michael White who has his doctorate in PT. He is the BEST therapist I have had the privilege to work with—even the physical therapists I worked with in NYC. He starts on time, completes your session on time, and does not waste a second while you are in his care. I am healing now, and see dancing in my future again. On top of that, there was never a time where I'd make an appointment, then wait for an hour after my designated time like the big chains and facilities. I worked with Rusty for PT on my knee after an ACL surgery. He always asked questions, listened and safely challenged me to make progress. As an athlete wishing to get back at it asap, I trusted Rusty and his team, and they delivered. The doctors could do little for me so they put me on pain management medications. Then I also started to have knee pain also that was almost unbearable. I went to them about these problems. Rusty after doing a very through evaluation told me it was my back not my knees and recommended the traction machine (Decompression machine). Well, I was amazed I walked in with severe pain and walked out without knee pain. I've stopped limping and dreading any situation that required walking.
